Thank you for visiting my Web site. I’m running for Murray City Council and look forward to hearing from you during the course of this campaign.

A Murray native, I want to help keep my hometown a safe and family-friendly community, provide a voice for small business owners and encourage fiscal responsibility during tough economic times. I’ll be # 11 on the ballot for the Nov. 6 election.

For more information about me and my ideas, you can contact me at 761-4558 or greg@electgregtaylor.com.

Thanks to all my supporters, both the 1,624 within the city limits who voted for me and those who encouraged from afar, for helping me become one of the 12 Murray City Council members elected to a two-year term that starts in January. It was a 24-person race for the 12 at-large seats. My vote total was the highest among the four non-incumbents who were elected to the council.

Here were the top 12 vote-getters who will represent city residents …

Danny Hudpseth – 2,547
Jason Pittman – 2,176
Dan Miller – 1,970
Robert Billington Jr. – 1,904
Linda Cherry – 1,837
Jeremy Bell – 1,757
Pat Scott – 1.681
Greg Taylor – 1,624
Pete Lancaster – 1,605
Don Elias – 1,580
Jay Morgan – 1,564
Amos McCarty – 1,500

Greg walked in the MSU Homecoming parade on Saturday along with some family members and an electric car. His 3-year-old daughter handed out candy one piece at a time and his 6-year-old nephew yelled “Vote for Greg Taylor” from the back seat of the electric car.

Meet the Candidates

May 3rd, 2010

Greg Taylor for Murray City Council

Many candidates spoke at the Murray Woman’s Club candidate forum on Thursday, April 29, 2010. It was good to see the interest in local government and be with the candidates for mayor, City Council, sheriff, coroner, magistrate and constable. The minute council candidates were given didn’t allow for much discussion, but please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas you have.

Yard signs

Yard Sign

Yard signs are here. Maybe you’ve even seen one in a yard as you’ve driven through town. If you’d like one to be temporarily planted in your own yard, please contact us and we’ll be happy to bring one to you, especially now that the land is softened, thanks to the weekend worth of rain.
